in my view. They know how to win ICC trophies, they won an ODI series in India this year and their preparation is excellent with 5 ODIs in SA & 3 in Ind this month.

10 years today Rahul Dravid scored his 35th but last overseas Test century at The Oval in London.
He carried his bat (all 10 Indian wickets fell around him). It was a special performance from the 38 year old veteran at the time in what was his final Test innings on English soil.

Why are the Karachi media silent on Rizwan's performance? I know Sarfraz is their favourite. But for a bloke in his second Test that was just extraordinary from Rizwan. Under pressure with the game situation, against arguably the best attack going on a ground Aus love playing at.

Calling somebody Paki is not like calling an Australian an Aussie.
It has negative connotations associated with people who came to the UK to set up corner shops and work as taxi drivers. It is associated with immigrants and low skilled citizens. So it is not a pleasant reference.

10 years today Misbah was appointed Pakistan Test Captain at the age of 36 having only played 19 Tests with a batting average of 34.
But he went on to lead till the age of 42 during which he won most Tests as Pakistan Captain and scored 35 50s and 8 100s in 99 innings as Captain.

Pakistan have won 4 Hockey World Cups in 1971, 1978, 1982 and 1994. In comparison India have won just 1.

Very true Athers. Pakistan were in England for 66 days without families last summer living in tight bubbles at not the most luxurious of hotels. Even players who were just involved in the T20 leg of the tour had to stay the full 66 days due to a chartered flight. Deserve answers.

Problem with these tables is people just look at number of Tests played by the bigger nations and think they have the advantage. Not the case. England are involved in longer series and therefore get less points for their Test wins. NZ are in the final by racking up 2-0 (2) wins.

Exactly 10 years today Captain Misbah ul Haq batted for 226 balls unbeaten in Wellington on a 5th day wicket with a class act like Vettori plugging away from one end.
This helped Pakistan secure their first Test series win in over 4 years in Misbah's first away series as Captain.

Misbah ul Haq by contrast had never passed 50 even once in international cricket on his 28th birthday. And he went on to pass 50 on 94 occasions for Pakistan in international cricket.
Not everyone will be as phenomenal with age as Misbah but it goes to show plenty left in Babar.

4 years today Misbah ul Haq led Pakistan to the top of the Test rankings for the first time. A phenomenal achievement for a team in exile. In their last 10 Test series since mid 2013 they had won 4 Test series, drawn 5 Test series and lost only 1 Test series to get there in 2016.

This is going down to the wire. So the equation now is 3 wins from 4 for Australia and 4 wins from 5 for India to make it to the Ageas Bowl (not Lord's).

Another really good ODI batter is Haris Sohail. Dropped from the squad based on his performances in Tests and T20Is. But he does have fitness and attitude problems too apparently. But he transformed Pakistan's 2019 WC campaign when he replaced Shoaib Malik in the playing XI then.

The greatest escape in Pakistan Cricket since 1958 when they drew a Test after conceding a first innings lead of 473 with ages to go in the game. I don't know the exact numbers but I reckon win wiz had a Pakistan defeat at 85% at stumps on day 3 after they conceded a lead of 408.

We (Pakistanis) will also try to beat England this year in an ODI series. Before you Indians laugh at me, remember we beat them in the 2017 Champions Trophy semi final and 2019 World Cup pool game when they were hosting those events. I personally have a ticket for Sat 10th July.

Babar helped Pakistan escape defeat to finish on 443/7 batting last against the Aussies. Virat couldn't do a Babar.
You might argue about conditions. But the sun was out and the pitch was playing pretty well in South London
