Jo log Mohammad Shami ke baare mein ghatiya baaten kar rahe hain, unse meri ek hi vinanti hai. Aap cricket na dekhen. Aur aapki kami mehsoos bhi nahi hogi.

For a person of Waqar Younis' stature to say that watching Rizwan offering namaz in front of Hindus was very special to him, is one of the most disappointing things I have heard. A lot of us try hard to play such things down and talk up sport and to hear this is terrible.
Really loved the scenes at the end between Virat and Rizwan and Babar and thereafter between some of the younger Pakistan players and Dhoni. Beyond the hype and posturing, this is the true story of sport.
I am in agony. Grief. And have no words. I was lucky enough to know him well. The magic will stay forever.

. In disbelief.
Extremely impressed with the fighting attitude shown by
@Sundarwashi5
and
@imShard
. They have symbolised what India has been in this series, consistently punching above their weight. It is so satisfying to see.
Virat Kohli can be very proud of what he achieved as a test match captain. The numbers will tell a story but they won't tell you of his fierce desire to play and win at test cricket.
I find it very disturbing that a very large section of the media in England is asking questions of a girl who played by the laws of the game & none at all of another who was gaining an illegal advantage and was a habitual offender. That includes reasonable people & I think (1/n)
What a day, what a series. Still getting over it. Will take time to go through all the messages but I will. Thanks for the support. And guess, the jinxes and curses don't really work.😀
When a bowler (Rahul Chahar) says my captain (Rohit Sharma) sometimes has more confidence in me than I do in myself, you understand why players grow in that team.
@mipaltan
I hadn't imagined a day would come when an American President would issue a statement that an order placed by an Indian company would lead to "one million American jobs over 44 states..."
It is convention to give the player of the match award to someone from the winning side. Matt Henry was fantastic today but the performance of the match came from Ravindra Jadeja. He is my player of the match.
I had said in a documentary some years ago that I thought Kohli was often lost in his own perfection. Today, as I watched, I found myself lost in Kohli's perfection.
New Zealand are an unassuming, humble side who play cricket as it should be played. Lots of hardworking, disciplined, skilled players. This is probably their best test side and you have to admire them.
If you are outside the crease when the bowler is about to deliver a ball, you are either irresponsible or you are cheating. The bowler must run you out if she can.
Beyond the many memorable moments on the ground, 3 stood out for me.

I am glad you put this out Farooq because it led to one of the greatest performances in Test history. This is a case study on how you convert adversity into match winning performances through great courage, outstanding leadership and self-belief. When you have that pride, you…
My heart goes out to Kane Williamson and
@BLACKCAPS
. But congratulations for playing with dignity and class. You made a lot more friends and did your country proud.
The morning after. Disappointment. But an awareness that we saw this team play special cricket for 10 games in a row. And a big big shout-out to Rahul Dravid; stayed in the background while the team was winning, fronted up when the team lost. Backed players, created a fantastic…
He loved you Jaddu. Remember the time in '08 at the DY Patil Stadium....He called you over and said to me "This kid is a rockstar". We chatted more than once about you and he was very fond of you and of Yusuf.
Did you think you would see a photograph like this? Remember the old "spot the ball contest" days. How on earth would anyone know what is happening here and where the ball has ended up! But this requires extraordinary skill too. Our game continues to enthral.
We use the expression "end of an era" very loosely sometimes. But Dhoni giving up the captaincy of
@ChennaiIPL
is truly the end of an era for all those loyal fans with whom he forged a relationship of the kind very few have.
Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi are two of the brightest talents in world cricket. The ICC honours list is just a reflection of that. And you can't do more than Rizwan did in T20 cricket. Encouraging signs for cricket in Pakistan.
Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, David Warner, now Eoin Morgan in the final ....Showing the great value of having a top leader. I will repeat, in franchise T20 cricket, a good captain is almost worth two players
Back in my hotel room and contemplating the magnitude of what a young man from Chinnappampatti achieved today.
@Natarajan_91
's debut shows us that Indian cricket is a meritocracy. And may it always be that way.
Dhoni handing over the captaincy is big news (after all he is CSK!) but not entirely surprising given the person he is. I don't think he will play every game either. Just like him. (Will miss those wonderful presentations with him though!)
Goodbye England. The World Cup was enjoyable. It was an honour to be part of a commentary team of this calibre.
@ICC
@cricketworldcup
. Hope we have a great final to round it off. And hopefully, the sun has a ticket to the final!
