Was going through some old bookmarks and found the one where @argyleink told me to steal his purty <details> code. Stolen!

Steal this `<details>` transition boilerplate CSS. This post is in response to the most common use case I see folks trying to do with `interpolate-size`. β€·

At the very least don't let AI generate framework code, vanilla html/css/js only.

Why don't we just have AI generate assembly code?. Anything above assembly is just to help human devs right?.

There is a lady named Emma with @AlaskaAir in Seattle who was so exceptionally kind and helpful to our family this morning, she deserves a raise, please ❀️.

It's much simpler to not do client-side routing than to do client-side routing. (guess who was debugging a SPA bug today).

When AI can debug versioning bugs then it will have arrived.

This is why it kind of boggles my mind that folks vibe code a site that uses tailwind. Like, if the LLM is doing the work of authoring stuff just have it author vanilla CSS and let the browser run that without any framework overhead. Same goes for the HTML/JS. Don’t make every.

I think about this a lot now. Like, if you’re a Bolt user you don’t really care about Astro DX vs Next.js DX. You care about end result, performance, SEO, hosting costs, error rates, which one is the coding agent better at, etc.

A good way to stay on top of your craft in the AI-powered development world is be good at debugging. If AI writes the code then you don't have the authoring context. But AI is still gonna write buggy code that needs fixing. If you're good at debugging you can jump in and fix.

My water & sewer service provider now has a native app. Why? Just build a competent website.

So many websites insist on texting me a code to login every time, even though I check the "remember this computer" checkbox. Why don't things just work?. Why is everything crap?.
