Congratulations to PhD student @LucasPhilipp1 on his first preprint! 🎉 He used Hi-C data to reconstruct the 3D conformations of dinoflagellate chromosomes 🦠🧬 And contrary to the prevailing model, they aren't liquid crystalline! 😯.

The most exciting point for biophysicists is that viruses represent a (relatively) simplified system with which to explore the *function* of condensates. Virologists have a wealth of knowledge and reagents that we can leverage to dissect condensate function 👩🔬🤝🧑🏾🔬.
