This was the incredible moment I was doing some macro photography in the gardens around my building and spotted a Mantis eating a bee. Ripped his head right off and devoured him. And I caught it using my Samsung Note 8 camera. Both nature and technology are amazing!

I had a lovely little kitchen herb garden growing on my front porch. All my plants started becoming really raggedy and then died but the thyme and oregano draping over the side. I was so confused. Today i solved the mystery. This is not my dog.

The two parts to the word “helicopter” are not “heli” and “copter”, but “helico” meaning spiral, and “pter” meaning one with wings, like pterodactyl.

Barnaby Joyce on 2GB downplaying the significance of Australia’s national parks, saying they’re full of “wild dogs and rubbish” and should be opened up for grazing. “They’re lines on maps that were arbitrarily drawn to win green votes in inner-suburban areas during election time”

Let’s go over this one more time: a #bounty is a way to reward active participants in pest management activities but it’s unlikely to significantly improve pest management. May even make things worse by biasing effort away from other strategies.

While aphids are the primary concern at this time of year in soys, do not forget about these pesky buggers. The silver beetle leaves substantial damage, and timing for them is almost impossible.

Fashion in the field. Narrabri,NSW. We all love natural fibre because it is soft, absorbent and breathable and its great to know our Australian farmers are the best in the world at producing it. https://t.co/PHecTTZl1k @CanonAustralia @JohnDeere @ABCRural @NationalFarmers #Cotton
