And, on the 15th of July, 2025, after 11:33pm, in Reading, Berkshire, one of the last UMTS (3G) cells, in the area, was quietly decomissioned. Somehow, this moment slipped by, unnoticed, but it feels strange, to realise that 1991's GSM has outlasted it, CDMA, TETRA, *and* DAB.
