This is a really important thread from @HarrowerAndy, Chief Exec of @Directors_UK. We can’t allow the role of director to be eroded away and/or unrecognised.
Congratulations to all the fantastic directors at the helm of last night’s BAFTA-winning programmes. So much work goes on behind the scenes, but at the moment this is work for which directors are not consistently recognised. (1/4)

Proud to have been co-signatories of the historic Freelance Charter. It’s a big day for the industry, and we already know from the State of Play 2021 report that urgent change is needed if we’re to stop a brain drain of talent from the industry.
