Biden just held a press briefing to announce that his administration has purchased 200 million more doses of COVID vaccine (100 million from Pfizer and 100 million from Moderna) that will be delivered this summer. That increases the total the U.S. has ordered to 600 million.

Okay here we go: the Dirksen Thanksgivingâąïž meal. This one was an overall win. Everything was good, but special standouts were stuffing, mac nâ cheese & mashed potatoes. Only downside was the weight will get ya - Thanksgiving food is heavy! $16 for this. For cost giving it 9/10.

The new Rayburn Common Grounds is open this week. Hours: 7:30-4:00. I tried their flatbread, which is one of several new food adds on the menu compared to Cannon. $13 spinach & bacon flatbread was a little greasy, but overall tasty. Loved the balsamic vinaigrette on top: 8/10

Just announced that weâre getting our second WH COVID Briefing under the direction of Dr. Jha tomorrow. Theyâll be discussing the plan for under 5 years old vaccinations. The last COVID briefing was 3 weeks ago.
At the end of the briefing, Jha made a point to say that they have been talking to the media a lot and would be doing these briefings regularly. The last one before this was 6 weeks ago, so letâs see when they schedule the next one đ.

Longworth has a new (to me at least) stall thatâs a Cava knockoff - very cutely called Kalamata, and it was pretty good!. Couscous and greens for base, chicken for protein & then tomatoes and cucumber salad, hummus & tzatziki for toppings. Felt both healthy & full for $9.60! 8/10

Highlights from today's WH COVID Briefing: .-biggest news is that Slavitt announced the Biden administration will be almost doubling the Medicare reimbursement rate for COVID vaccines.-the previous rate was $23 per shot and will now go up to $40/shot (so $80 for two-dose regimen).

House unanimously passes the bill requiring the Director of National Intelligence to declassify information relating to the origin of COVID. Passed 419-0. This bill already passed the Senate by unanimous consent previously. The White House hasn't threatened to veto it.

I tried the Longworth scrapple this morning so you donât have to⊠and you shouldnât. This is not a dish I can get behind, it was so game-y I could only take one bite. BUT I can say the biscuit and gravy was delicious, 10/10.
