We have identified key mechanisms responsible for ensuring #longevity of #polymer-packaged #active #neuroelectronic implants. Our results indicate that, owing to its unique properties, PDMS-coated CMOS chips could remain functional in vivo for decades.

Check out our new publication at #Nanoscale #RSC. We use spark ablation to print platinum #nanoparticles on our multilayer CVD #graphene electrodes. We improve impedance (4.5x), CSC (15x), and CIC (4x) while maintaining optical transparency.

A co-fabrication of ultrasound transducers and electrodes in dense arrays, which we call MEMTA (microelectrode-microtransducer array), as a bimodal investigational neuroscientific tool. MEMTAs will enable the study of electrical and ultrasound stimuli in vitro.
