Standalone HEPA purifiers, as recommended by SAGE during the pandemic made a ~ 20% difference to underlying illness absence. As we have been discussing @nathan_wood_8, purifiers need to work to enhance the air exchange rate in classrooms as well as purifying the air near the unit
WHO EUROPEAN INDOOR AIR CONFERENCE: At today’s WHO conference, @cathnoakes presented the findings of the CLASS-ACT study into the use of air filters in schools: “Underlying illness absence in schools was reduced by >20% when air cleaners were used. They *do* make a difference.”

#mouldpatrol out and about today. This property has been cutting back on central heating this year, and the inside of the 35 year old windows is dropping below the dew-point. As attractive as they are, these windows don’t have trickle vents installed, so are part of the problem
