New paper out in Bilingualism: Language & Cognition, where I review the literature on the effect of bilingualism on theory of mind development. I conclude that linguistic diversity more than EF, helps bilingual children build a theory of the mind

Happy day to my two sisters @Yolandacazalis and @vdiaz_psy my favorite #STEM ladies. One is an engineer, the other one a doctor and researcher, they both inspire me and make the world go round.

This week we lost a giant of a human, scientist, teacher, mentor, and friend. Dr. Jeff Farrar (@jfarrarlcd) will be missed by many and we in @UFPsychology are all grieving his loss. /1 @cogdevsoc @UF_AAC @UF_CLAS @SRCDtweets

Thrilled to have this #systematicreview finally published! We explore associations between #peervictimization and #emotionregulation in #adolescence and discuss how measurement of these constructs lead to divergent results. Check it out here! https://t.co/7JCu61PXuJ

I recently made a science video for kids about birds (intended for kindergarteners, but also suitable for other ages). Share with anyone who may interested and check out the other videos on topics ranging from lakes to dinosaurs and more! @VT_ACT @ICATatVT https://t.co/s305rOWU4A

How do economic disparities and puberty interact to influence brain development? Advanced pubertal development was associated with higher functional activation in the prefrontal cortex during inhibitory control, but only for adolescents from poorer families. (2/2)

Until low-income minority families are given the same prestige for their bilingual language skills as high-income White families, we should be careful with headlines of no bilingual advantages

@B_resnick That's what always struck me as being faintly ridiculous about this debate. It's clear that bilingualism is a great thing! If it's not great for *that specific reason* (i.e. exec fn), really so what?
