Nobody would care dozens of similar dismissals of games that indeed - haven't succeeded and were not that much worse than Hollow Knight

It is often easy to see only the fittest survivals - there were 100s or even 1000s of similar games that weren't lucky enough. A *good* or even better: GREAT product is a must to even start thinking about success, but that's just the start. Luck is important too.

And it took YEARS for someone to find out. This is pragmatic engineering.

This question is basically 20 years overdue. These days games are mostly written in C# (Unity) or some other technologies. C++ is still relevant (UE5 for example) but way less than before.

Interesting! I thought I'm one of the few who actually switches mode depending on day time. I do it on iPhone and iPad - but on a Mac, I'm always in dark mode 🌚 For some reason it feels more natural on smaller devices/screens to switch depending on time.

Because not every contact will even have a phone number? I use Contacts app (separately) all the time, far more often than Phone app tbh 😅 Those are two different things, just by accident Phone app have access to contacts (like other messaging apps)

On macOS the other way around: WhatsApp moved away from web app and used Mac Catalyst to use Mac-optimized UIKit version from iPhones & iPads. It works and looks pretty good 👍
