🔥New paper at #ICLR2021 #MathAI workshop on analyzing Transformers’ Polynomial Simplification Abilities. TLDR: For Full Proof generation task, TxFormers consistently lack in multiplication ability. A simple neuro-symbolic extension and Curr. Learning helps by a large extent.

This is not AI. This is literally statistics. The term was coined in the 18th century from the Italian "statista" meaning "one who works for the state" to describe the analysis of data to help the functioning of government.
If governments applied AI to the reams of data that they collect about citizens they could, in theory, hone their policies and services to become cheaper and more effective. But that dream seems rather...distant.
