There's a lot of psychological evidence that it's genuinely good for improving visuospatial reasoning, but garbage for just about everything else.
One hill I will die on is that (good) video games are good for kids. They look zoned out but they are thinking and exercising their brains a ton.

It would be nice if the internet was not becoming overrun with AI generated slop, but every once in a while it would be nice to take a step back from all that and just enjoy something new and different on its own.
