re: the Claude Funeral Cult Thing. why are we glossing over the fact that some of these cultists are raising a baby in a warehouse against city regs?.

we are at some point going to have to reckon with the growing AI occultism, before one of these dorks goes Full Ziz.

IMHO the speed matters far less than the last point, ie the distribution, packaging, etc. most competent security solutions are going to look very hard at executables packaged with something like py2exe because they're fairly atypical and are used fairly often for malware.

@JustNotSebas @valhalla_dev @vxunderground @jamieantisocial C++ saves more than 0.2ms, python is rather slow also for malware distributing it is a pain in the ass because you need all the DLLs and such.

malware/software written badly in C/C++/Rust/Golang/anything will be slower than malware/software written well in Python/whatever. nerds like to language war on Twitter because it's easy engagement bait but badly written software is slow no matter what language you write it in.

@dwncasted @valhalla_dev @vxunderground @jamieantisocial it ain't bad but raged programmers will yell at you saying that using C++ saves 0.2 milliseconds instead of using python . but as op said, it ain't about being good it is about working and doing it's job lol.

this is okay advice if you are able to break your idea down to a very simple task/output. that's not really possible for a lot of businesses. like you're not going to build an EDR platform and find out really anything with a piece of software that just blocks SHA256 hashes that.

RT @valhalla_dev: @vxunderground @jamieantisocial people vastly overestimate how "good" APT malware is. it doesn't have to be good, it just….

it's very obvious that most of the heft of xAI engineering is going toward gooner shit rather than making grok more useful for Twitter.

<OtherSite> is fun (I mainly post there) but there are a couple reasons I come back here:. - anthropologically, Twitter is incredibly interesting, and it gets more interesting daily. it's fun to study because people are very raw on here, so you can observe for ex. the first AI.

one of the interesting things that happened on Twitter is that it became a place where cults formed very quickly. a lot of them were/are benign. the indiehacker cult has a lot of grifters but honestly I don't lose a ton of sleep over it. there are cultish behaviors around.

ScrollWise Update:. Scraping <OtherSite> and Twitter posts fully works aside from some malformed timestamps, so now the extension scrapes while you scroll (and does it wicked fast). Everything is being enriched into vector objects in the background, and I can do vector similarity.

one thing that the channer types really don't like is when you call their brand of edgelordism boring and overplayed. it made this. 40 year old? channer crash out while I was pouring my second cup of coffee.
