I am looking at the pre-colonial history of the Indigenous people of each province. Today, I am focusing on the Haida people of northwestern B.C. The Haida have occupied the archipelago off the coast of British Columbia for at least 12,500 years. ๐Ÿงต1/11

Joni's 10th studio album, MINGUS, a collaboration with composer and jazz musician Charles Mingus, was released 44 years ago this month. It was one of Joniโ€™s most experimental and jazz-centric albums which stands as a heartfelt tribute to Mingus himself.

He did it. Congratulations to my brother Ahmad on graduating from high school yesterday.๐Ÿ‘ When our family came to Canada, he didn't know anyone and he barely spoke any English. Now he is fluent in 3 languages and is set to change the world compassionately. Very proud of him.

Another excuse to congratulate Mel Brooks - Happy 97th Birthday! ย Mel has accomplished so much over those years but what really impresses me is that he can still fit into his World War II Army jacket! I canโ€™t fit into the pants I bought in February! Viva Corporal Kaminsky!
