The Daily Drum.Today’s drum once again features “ The Eel”. A particular favourite in the mi’kmaw diet has always been eel. At a traditional feast, some Elders would bring eel stew or eel soup. It was a sign of both respect and status. Have a Great Day

The Daily Drum.Today I am posting a drum from the Pipe series. It depicts a chief smoking his final pipe with spirit Moose watching over. This chief is painted in red ochre; this colour was used in burial ceremonies so that the creator could recognize someone who has passed.
