Notably: We don't expect auth to be an outsized portion of overall revenue in the long term. 5-10% is totally fine Also, we expect many customers to enroll in extra products for our quality and convenience. We're already seeing this in the Billing beta (300+ beta testers!)

It's a few years away, but this is the product strategy we're working toward at Clerk Anyone know the company? They're public and this is their 2025 investor presentation

Clerk's opportunity stemmed from software being built in a new way: we work well with React, while legacy auth went stale. Another shift is happening today with AI, and changes like these support the new workflows. How else can we improve your experience with AI and Clerk?
IMO, all popular dev tools should have buttons like @ClerkDev does (at least a “Copy as Markdown” button) Does anyone know of a product that does the same? I just want a Chrome extension that can fetch content, code blocks, and tables so I don’t have to copy them manually

@ClerkDev Clerk Billing is actually overpowered. User auth, organizations, and billing in like an hour. The longest part was creating a new Stripe account. Initial pricing page for reference

A clear startup advantage right now is their willingness to build distribution with low-margin, cost-plus pricing Incumbents aren’t sleeping, but “let’s lower our margins!” isn’t traditionally a great way to climb the ranks Call it death by business school
Previewing a new @stripe project – billing for LLM tokens. You ship while we: * auto update model prices as they change * enforce your markup % with usage based billing * auto record usage via a LLM proxy: Stripe’s (new!), @OpenRouterAI, @cloudflare, @vercel, @helicone_ai 🧵

Our team grew to 100 today. My first reaction was, "Wait, what's the burn?!" 😅 Alas, it's in great shape. Some rambling reflections... Clerk is nothing without our team. We work remotely with high trust that everyone is operating towards one goal. Clarity in the goal allows

Very true. Clerk honed our DX by hounding our @southpkcommons peers for feedback. Their monthly new batches were our monthly fresh eyes. Wouldn’t have been as easy in another city… but now inbound flows because lots of SF companies use us.
Getting tech companies in San Francisco to try your new thing is A LOT easier than convincing the other 99% of companies out there.

I will forever be jealous of companies that get to start on Atlas today This puts Stripe on a path toward eliminating the wild west of funding instruction calls, where things happen like, "I'll read out the first half of your account number, you read out the second half" 🤞
Atlas founders can now fundraise with @ycombinator SAFEs. Create, sign, and track SAFEs from the Dashboard.

I can't believe confident email delivery in 2025 still requires a dedicated and "warmed" IPv4 Needless $20/mo innovators tax

Clerk <Waitlist/> is criminally underrated Best part is the ability to easily pull people off as you open up beta No brainer if you’re pre-launch!
Just deployed a temporary site for @OpacityHQ with a super fun little interaction :D Sign up for early access!!

Clerk loves supporting startups, and it's always exciting when they announce a big fundraise. Fun coincidence when it's on the same day as our own. Congrats again @itsCathyDi and @dedaluslabs!
Clerk's Series C is on the back of our customers, who are growing just as fast! Congrats to @itsCathyDi and the @dedaluslabs on their growth and their Seed fundraise. We're glad to play a small part in your journey!

This round would not have been possible without our customers, partners, and the incredible team at Clerk. We’re endlessly grateful for your support, and look forward to collaborating on this next chapter of both Clerk and authentication itself.

Series C 🚀 This new funding creates the opportunity to tackle a new product pillar in earnest. There's lots of excitement around Agent Identity right now, and we're excited to bring spectacular DX to that market. (Don't worry, usage-based billing will still launch first 😀)
We raised a $50m Series C from @MenloVentures and @AnthropicAI's Anthology Fund AI has presented an exciting new challenge in authentication: Agent Identity We'll be tackling it head-on, alongside continued innovation in our authentication, multi-tenancy, and billing products.

If anyone out there loves applied websec, I'd love for you to join Clerk! Our techniques for setting and verifying session cookies are extremely nuanced, and there's always a small but challenging list of changes to make. An idea with Sec-Fetch-Site just got added 🙂:
@simonw Assuming no destructive actions on GETs, I believe the fallback of inspecting Origin is actually *completely* effective. It's more a DX issue: if http.CrossOriginProtection asked the developer to pass in the expected Origin, it would always work. But this middleware is trying

@ClerkDev TanStack Start SDK now supports @tan_stack Start RC! 🚀 - Added clerkMiddleware(), replacing the custom server handler for better composability - getAuth(request) → auth() (no request object needed!)
