Autistic Advocate, Ally, Disabled Father of 4. Holding this Government to account for it's atrocities in the Contaminated Blood Scandal. May swear a bit...

Hugely important we don't allow Slippery Rishi to spoil the momentum we've gained. Sir Robert Francis must work now to get all 19 of Sir Brian's 2nd Interim Recommendations accepted and made law. The Compensation Scheme as it stands is not fit for purpose.
(🧵1/7) I first heard about the infected blood scandal in 2010 when my constituent Glenn Wilkinson came to a surgery. Glenn is one of the many campaigners I have had the privilege of working alongside in the tireless fight for truth and justice over the past fourteen years.

If this ignorant twat was anywhere close to correct, then I'm owed approximately £84k in HRM DLA & Advance Deposit payments. and a fucking Audi.
1 in 5 cars sold in the UK are paid for by the taxpayer through the Motability program, including BMWs and Audis. There’s no means testing, so households with six figure incomes are getting luxury coupes on the taxpayer’s dime. Over half of the recipients of the free cars have.

/measures waist in inches, but height in centimetres. "I'm absolutely fine."
Letter in the @thetimes from a GP (!) says if your waist circumference is more than twice your height you’re obese. WHUT?.

My first custom-built chair was the original Quickie Ti, which had a base cost of £6,500. By the time I'd added everything else (Spinergy wheels, pop-up push handles, side panels), it was over £8,700. plus a £700 cushion. At least I didn't have to pay the VAT.
Disabled people often have to pay for their own mobility aids and some wheelchairs can cost more than £6,000, so how are disabled people meant to save up to buy one without losing their benefits? How is that fair?. #DisabledPeopleDemand.

Dear @premierinn. Perhaps it's now time to train your staff; even if it's just to explain what the acronym means. .
After years of campaigning by Grenfell survivors and Disabled people, the Government today announced that Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans for Disabled people would be introduced. Read the full statement 👇.

We still need @GOVUK to acknowledge and accept Sir Brian's 2nd Interim Recommendations from May 2022, in full. Without this, IBCA falls short in many areas, especially for Natural Clearers like myself and others. I'm still waiting for @StephenMorganMP to offer his support.
Oh my, this looks more hopeful for #infectedblood victims.

As a father of 3 girls and survivor of childhood sexual abuse, this is absolutely, ridiculously abhorrent. He's a convicted child-rapist; how can his team mates be okay sharing high-fives with the kiddy-fiddling cunt?.
