The problem is that many people only care about child abuse when it's convenient to further their political in-group (and drop the topic if not convenient) or appeases their generalized sadism (more relevant to people saying they hope child molesters get raped in prison, etc).
How did the online RW go from elevating the idea of protecting children from pedophiles and gender reassignment to saying that children are impossible to groom, because they're just going to turn into sluts who deserve it anyway?.
