One of my favourite package of routines I’ve seen: a school where students were taught how to behave in a cover lesson. 1. First they were taught how important every lesson was, even when the regular teacher was away. It was valuable. 2. Students were given specific roles

We recognise that our Year 7 parents were only able to experience a virtual Open Event before their child joined Leeds City Academy. Therefore, we'd like to invite all Year 7 parents to our #OpenEvening on Wednesday 20th October at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Really useful thread on how to use whole class feedback to change what you teach. It’s not all about DIRT tasks- it should lead to responsive teaching.
Whole Class Feedback 🧵 1/ I love WCF. Not just because it has transformed my work balance (traditional book marking in English is a different class of madness). I love it because it facilitates greater understanding of where my students are, which makes me a better teacher.

Really clear guidance on keeping #assessment relevant and simple
