Newspapers have covered the issue — I’ve seen good stories in the Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, NYTimes and USA Today — but it’s been scant and none that I’ve seen recently. It’s not a left vs. right story: It’s a “Who wants it more?” story. And remember: No guts, no glory.

I’ll say it again, esp for my journo friends: Untreated pain is the most underreported story of this century. A backlash going on 15 years against opioid meds continues to hurt millions of chronic pain patients. The trend is worsening and has resulted in misery and suicides.

@StephenM I think what she said is highly objectionable but not an incitement to violence. Incitement to violence is a legal term that should not be invoked for distasteful things.
