I agree, William I don’t know one person who overdosed after taking their legally prescribed opioid medication either
@CMerandi I was addicted to heroin from 2006-2007 an overdose was rare It wasn't until 2014 when the DEA made hydrocodone a Schedule 3 and fentanyl started being mixed into heroin that the overdoses became an "epidemic". I don't know 1 person that OD on Rx.

@CMerandi 1 day post op BOWEL RESECTION was told by RN pain was due2 not enough physical activity I was walking around my bed she👉LAUGHED & said it wasn't enough Compassion + science is GONE Was 1 of MANY times she DID NOT do her job BTW sent home w/ OTC Tylenol + gabapentin

@JGillespie67 @CMerandi Thanks! For surgeries I'm given Dilaudid; no side effects, works for the pain. You'd think pharm could come up with an iteration that worked PO, but the push is on buprenorphine now.

I submitted my comments yesterday. I reminded @DEAHQ that while its calculations for estimating the required supply is discretionary, its statutory obligation (under the CSA) to meet the medical needs of patients with pain is not; recklessly ignoring those needs for a decade
