We have appended an Editors' Note to a story about Mohammed Zakaria al-Mutawaq, a child in Gaza who was diagnosed with severe malnutrition. After publication, The Times learned that he also had pre-existing health problems. Read more below.

I'm excited to share that Ashby has raised a $50M Series D! In just over a year since our Series C, we've scaled from 1,300 to over 2,700 customers, grown revenue by 135% year-over-year, and maintained best-in-class efficiency (burn multiple <1x). A huge thank you to our

I know people get paid by foreign countries to sell propaganda because I have been offered it myself. I obviously declined because I have ethics, morals and the only country I will ever be loyal to is America. But this happens - and more frequently than I think people realize.

It's not enough to have a firm grasp of the industry you're building in. If your product doesn’t speak to core human impulses, it probably won’t scale. Here's why builders need to have a strong theory of  human nature:

Jung said: “The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate.” Founders on their journey must overcome their inner situation and integrate their shadow. Only then will they have a chance at altering fate itself.

Urgency is a weapon. Used well, it builds momentum. Used poorly, it destroys it. Most people don’t understand the difference. They think moving fast means rushing. That speed means cutting corners. That pressure means pushing everything to happen now. But urgency without

When you observe that something important is not easy and there is no playbook for it, that will either kindle excitement & energy within you or it will create fear & resignation. Do your best to train your mind to feel the former and not feel righteous when you feel the latter.

Most people treat urgency like a switch, they turn it on when there’s a crisis and off when things feel under control. They’re wrong. The best operators, builders, and decision-makers don’t wait for urgency to find them. They manufacture it. They know that speed compounds. That

Entrepreneurship is gonna look a lot more like art than business because the only moat left will be taste, not technicality. The role of art has always been to detect the signs of cultural change—artists find creative arbitrages, saying what people think before they realize it

The AI opportunity in healthcare is massive beyond imagination. Drs with AI will dramatically improve outcomes. Not to mention, the potential of patients having 24/7 access to immediate medical guidance w/ out waiting for appt, copays, or worry that a busy doc will even care.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: not using AI-especially in medical diagnostics or in screenings like the one below-has now become completely unethical & unacceptable. MDs who reject this because it isn’t “standard care”are liable in failing to properly care for patients!

What you name your product matters more than people give it credit. It's your first and most universal UI to the world. Designing a good name requires multi-dimensional thinking and is full of edge cases, much like designing software.
