A new Maternity Early Warning Score (MEWS) to be rolled out across the NHS. Derived from real data from >1000 pregnancies, it used statistical modelling to set appropriate thresholds for vital signs, reducing unnecessary alerts. @UniofOxford @NHSEngland

I understand the issue being described but it does not address the gap between describing what should be done and ensuring systems are well designed to support best care. We don’t focus enough on the second part. #QI.

Absolutely @johns16_nina we need to make them easy to access and user friendly! Help people do the right things! Also need to review how clinicians are informed/trained when guidance is updated we hear this often doesn’t happen.
