35 years ago today, I attempted my first Channel swim, aged 11. It came off and I became a World Record holder. This Friday, a team from Deloitte will aim to swim to France and raise money for our #5MillionFutures charity Scope. Donate here #JustGiving

How about this from the team from @LavingtonSchool. Their 3rd relay team of the season crossed the channel on 14/15 September - just as #SarahThomas was rewriting history. Could that be the quickest 6 person British team this year? 13 and 14 years olds can do anything. Well done

The sun rose over the Channel this morning just as Sarah Thomas completed her four-way English Channel swim, which has to be one of the greatest feats of mental and physical endurance in human history. 54 hours in the water, a ten-minute break between each crossing.
