It's just *appalling* how Ontario has kept Ontario Works rates at levels that are so obviously impossible to survive on in many/most Ontario communities. *$390 per month* for rent, and we pretend to be flummoxed about people having to camp out in parks or sleep on trains?

What on earth is going on. Seriously. Where are the doctors raising the awareness about this? Where are the journalists screaming? What is wrong with everyone? Hospital episodes for babies with heart valve problems in England.

@MeetJess When I was about that age I walked to the grocery store with my kid on my back and my dog on a leash. Then I strolled downtown to the hardware store. As I got home, I realized I was missing something. My dog forgave me. I plead sleep deprivation. Toddler, both working + school.

@MeetJess My 12 y/o grandchild asked me at thanksgiving, "Why do you still wear your mask?" I said, "so the Covid virus won't get in". He noded - he is very thoughtful. I thought of telling him the long version, but there are so many pitfalls.

@MeetJess I witnessed a nurse display similar forgetfulness, delaying an urgent procedure for 30 minutes because shek kept going to the wrong ward, picking up the wrong kits, forgetting the convo with the station nurse about procedure etc.

@MeetJess A lot of our society now is permanently damaged with their frontal lobe of their brain not functioning efficiently.

@MeetJess Anyone who has experienced "brain fog" from LC 100% knows and can relate. People forget one of the languages they speak, forget about their work, their schedule, etc all the time. This can seem ridiculous but once you experience it you're like "f***".

Watched my neighbor drive off this pm & about an hour later, I saw him come back by foot. I happened to be outside and so asked if he had an issue with the car. He looked at me and said « fuck, it’s still in the parking lot of the store. I forgot I drove there » 😵💫 He’s 32.

@Atchoumthecat @talie001 When I found out I had cancer my cat Pookie would snuggle next to me purring making biscuits. Made me feel a lot better. My brat kitty Pookie.
