Why are humans quick to bearishness? . It doesn’t matter how many times one accomplishes great things. As soon as there’s a pause or a seeming plateau…the one who did 50 great things back to back can no longer do it. Until they do it again.

gpt-oss is out!. we made an open model that performs at the level of o4-mini and runs on a high-end laptop (WTF!!). (and a smaller one that runs on a phone). super proud of the team; big triumph of technology.

Remember the Galaxy S4? I loved that phone. Remember that you could like scroll with your eyes, or like by waving your phone above the screen? . I was so excited. But ended up never using them. That’s how a lot of AI/agent demos feel these days.

despite how it may look from the outside, tech is probably the least cutthroat industry there is. having worked in politics, and having close friends in finance, tech is uniquely filled with people that are just happy to help you if you’re nice and not trying to take advantage.

I must say 4 Opus is pretty impressive with thinking, planning and tool calling. If only Claude models were as surgical as o3 (and didn't always edit code that's unrelated to your actual request). I'd consider switching completely.

If o3 isn’t going to stop outputting tables, and there’s no way to make it remember not to. Then at the very least presentation should be better on mobile.
