Itβs great to see that all the hard work of teacher across the country has impact. All the work being done to improve maths teaching by @NCETM and others seems to be having an impact.

You were fabulous hosts - the @BChampCollege team and @timdolan went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly! The atmosphere at #MathsConf35 was "buzzing" and it was great to meet colleagues, continuing our partnership with @LHTrustLeics π€π
π We were proud to host the recent #MathsConf35 at @BChampCollege. π Attendees took part in 30 workshops, including '5 Ways to Leverage MWBs in Maths.' π€ It was a brilliant day and staff enjoyed networking and learning from colleagues around the country.

Post-16 teachers in Leicester/shire Northants - this will be excellent. You should join up and enjoy thinking deeply about A Level pedagogy
Next year I am leading the EMS Developing A-level pedagogy workgroup. I'm aiming for this work group to be looking in depth at A-level curriculum coherence both from KS4 to KS5 and across the A-level. If you're in Leics/Northants and are interested:

π»Last week, some of our secondary students enjoyed an illuminating Computer Science-themed day at @NottmTrentUni. π They explored courses and career paths, enjoyed hands-on practical activities and even took part in a computing-based escape room challenge!

On Sunday @blatherwick_sam is walking from Mountsorrel to Ashby! If anyone is able to donate, it's a worthwhile cause. I hope it goes well Sam. https://t.co/MmvqUEDiM7

This is such an important message for anyone involved in developing teachers (which should be every teacher and every SLT). There are many reasons why improving teaching in a school is incredibly complex. It's tempting to simplify, but why things work or not is nuanced.
