The lack of critical thinking is reaching new highs in some corners, including from really intelligent people. Is it the pressure for homophily? The assumption of it? When you see it in developers, one wonders if their code works with that much resistance to rigor/logic.

The term 'degrowth' is uninspiring because it uses a negative definition not a positive one. It is very hard to be inspired by a negative. Imagine if we framed weekends as 'not-working time'. Also: growth is not bad. Unchecked exponential growth is. See: growing a limb vs cancer.

As I prep for the first pilot parts program call, I'm contemplating the way our parts manifest in the outside world. If we haven't done the inner work of purposefully aligning our parts, we risk undermining ourselves by replicating the patterns we want to change.
