Pretending the barrel path can be “taught” independently from the movement that creates it. Barrel geometry is a product of posture, sequencing, rotation timing, and center-mass control not the other way around.

11/26 Maxwell Chou 2027 Getting swings in on vacation in Canada. Moving a little slow after travel day but still had several home runs (350+ field) on hittrax while maintaining posture and control. @s_sharf

It takes 5-7min of sitting down at whatever desk you’re studying from to work on it. A healthy spine will lead to longevity because we can build up the extremities in the weight room, but if the spine is stiff, you’re gambling with your health

If you feel like you have a stiff neck, there will be no way you’d be able to throw a ball without some sort of compensation pattern that compounds into an injury

Those nerves that cause muscles to contract and relax really do need more attention and love in your pre and post throwing/hitting routines

Scalene muscles that run through your neck along with the nerves that are responsible for a lot of arm function originate from the C-spine.

I think that the cervical spine isn’t talked about enough. We love to talk about T-spine mobility until days end but we don’t look at the part of the spine that is directly next to our shoulders, the C-Spine.

Getting to work this morning: Early hitting session. Here’s a full round where I started off rocky but with the help of @thoroughbredbsb I made an adjustment that lead to barrels. Then hit the gym and hit a deadlift PR of 460 lbs.

The pro's start preparing early If the best in the world start this early, why aren't you doing the same?
