like im ngl I don't think the bread and circuses are distracting as much as they used to. I think people are holding onto them more out of familiarity in a time of increased chaos. not so much that they're actually enjoying the distraction
The bread is overpriced and full of microplastics and the circuses are split over a dozen streaming services at $15/mo a pop, and meanwhile what they’re supposed to distract from/compensate for has grown to literally apocalyptic proportions.

It's really so important that you stop taking these accounts as news sources, when all they're doing is posting a headline without any trail of sources or verification. As things escalate misinformation is getting worse and a lot of well meaning people are taking the bait.
