@ConscriptKing @PatriarchPrimus In 1987, we got a flash of light from a supernova in the large magelanic cloud. About 8 months later, a ring of debris lit up, indicating a radius of 0.66 light years. The viewing angle of the ring is 0.808 arc seconds. 0.66 / tan(0.808/3600 * PI / 180) = 168484 light years.

I spent the first part of my PhD study doing AI, including evolutionary algorithms. And I have used EAs since then to solve plenty of practical optimization problems. So it's runny when creationists on reddit tell me EAs are dumb and won't work.

Creationists have a major mental block against using evolutionary theory to get useful work done. Despite numerous practical applications, they insist on saying it's "wrong." I don't care. It a TOOL that WORKS. We can't say that about creationism or ID.
