The #HPV vaccine is used in more than 80 countries. More than 80 million girls and women worldwide have now received these vaccines. In some countries, the uptake is greater than 90% and rates of pre-cancerous abnormalities have fallen. https://t.co/Sr5jOcyuhI via @YouTube

"We have got to listen more to young people..." Have young people changed? Because when I was 16-17 I had absolutely no idea what was going on and couldn't have cared less. The few views I did have were impossible nonsense. How about you? Brilliant as a youngster were you?

You look clever 🤓 and use big words but in reality have no idea what you are talking about. You are the epitome of what is wrong with the democratisation of platforms conferred by social media. Do you promote child death in other ways or just anti vax?

@wa7trel @Takethatdoctors @SomethingsNotR3 Vaccines are not required for individuals to be protected against disease. The immune system functions in the absence of vaccination. The risk-benefit analysis for vaccination also differs for each vaccine and every individual.

Vilifying people as ‘antivaxxers’ or even ‘hesitant’ may be oddly satisfying & simple response to outbreaks, but it distracts from real work needed: ensuring easy access, affordability, awareness, activation &, if acceptance is problem, good risk comms & community engagement

I'm a doctor in the 6th richest country in the world. I've been prescribing food to desperate patients in London since 2012. But I'm also a Jewish doctor. #Antisemitism is as unpalatable to me as food poverty. Both markers of an uncivilised society. #GeneralElection19

The diagram below shows the widening circles of influence on people’s health. These circles are, of course, interpenetrable. For example, your lifestyle ‘choices’ are influenced and to a large extent constrained by the social, economic and environmental conditions where you live.

The WHO didn’t place vaccine hesitancy as one of the top ten threats to public health at a whim. AntiVaxxers threaten the health and well-being of our countries, and continue to spread their nonsense with little opposition. #ItsOKtovaccinate #vaccineswork

YouTube “research.” It frustrates me that even teaching and tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and Pathology, that somehow conspiracy theory Google searches and YouTube videos are a gold-standard form of “research.” The time has come for doctors, scientists,
