Good to see legal discussions about #SpaceLaw and #SpaceMining in public forums in advance of lofty international plans for the moon. "Humans want to mine the moon. Here's what space law experts say the rules are" https://t.co/ogjjMsKHGT

Mining the moon might sound like a concept that belongs in a science fiction novel, but it's likely to be a part of reality in the not-so-distant future. That's made it a hot topic of discussion...

First look at NASA's new crew transportation vehicle (CTV) for the Artemis Program. Designed and built by electric vehicle start-up Cannoo, the CTV will transport Moon-bound astronauts to the launch site starting on the Artemis II mission.

#SpaceLaw observers will be keenly looking at the new US federal administration, wondering whether it will stay the course of space policies implemented under the outgoing U.S. president's tenure.

Especially in light of the momentum concerning the #ArtemisAccords, the lunar water discovery gives the international legal community a strong opportunity to clarify its expectations regarding resource extraction, resource conservation, and scientific examination.

For the 1st time, molecular water was discovered on a sunlit surface of the Moon, suggesting water may not be limited to cold, shadowed places. Goddard postdoc Dr. Casey Honniball, made the discovery using NASA's @SOFIAtelescope airborne observatory. https://t.co/TUFKK8Rl9x
