After Rob Reiner screened Stand by Me (1986) for Stephen King, he noticed that King was visibly shaking and wasn’t speaking. Stephen King left the room, then returned and told Rob Reiner it was the best adaptation of his work he had ever seen. RIP Rob Reiner.
