What concentrates wealth isn’t capitalism, it’s cronyism, political favoritism that violates property rights and equality under the law. That’s a feature of socialism. When the state owns the means of production, someone in power must decide who gets what, meaning the

Dude, that hit a little. You’ve just created busywork and presenteeism. We’ve both been there right? Thinking that we’re doing our best just because we’re tired. When in reality we could have done things a little differently and worked smarter. https://t.co/6PaI6njKbE

Some real maritime nations in that list, blocking this nonsense. Where the fuck is Britain? Shame. Shame.

Now, this is a BIG deal. Unelected United Nations bureaucrats got tea bagged today. The global shipping “climate tax” that the UN’s International Maritime Organization wanted to impose (effective by 2028) is a no-go, at least for now. The meeting voted to adjourn for a year.

The bull run is shit because it hasn't started. 2017 and 21 were both loose money periods - crypto topped when money tightened. Inflation kept money tight since 2022, until now. Goods times are coming

I want to tell you something. I used to have a nightmare for the first six years in office that, when I had got the finances right, when I got the law right, the deregulation, etc, that the British sense of enterprise and initiative would have been killed by socialism. I was

A black fungus feeds on radiation in Chernobyl. In the radioactive ruins of Chernobyl’s Reactor 4, scientists found an extraordinary black fungus, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, thriving in one of Earth’s most toxic environments. Rather than merely enduring radiation, this

We are sleepwalking into total judicial communism. At least the Soviets did communism intentionally and trained ''experts'' to set prices - who, despite their flaws, knew that’s what they were doing. We prefer to draft cack-handed legislation that only incidentally outsources

Is the British state about to introduce rent control by accident? It seems incredible, but the quoted drafting does seem to support what @s8mb is saying. If so, here is an especially striking feature of the situation: unlike in classical 1914-1990 rent control, landlords are

This is serious. The cost of living crisis is being driven by structurally high energy bills caused by policy and system costs. The FT covered that. The BBC didn’t. When energy CEOs tell MPs that even free gas won’t cut bills, the public deserves to hear it @PeacheyK

We have done terrible damage to Britain over the last century. But we still have the things which made this country great. There is still a great deal of ruin in this nation, and there is still time to fix it. Decline is a choice. We can choose differently.

This is political dynamite. Even with zero wholesale prices in 2030, we will still not have lower bills!!

.@eonenergyuk’s CEO explains UK households are not paying high bills because of gas - but because of the growth of embedded policy & network costs. Even with zero wholesale prices in 2030, bills could be as high as they are today. That's madness. This is about political choices.

Solar panel waste timebomb: Solar panels have a life cycle of around 25-30 years. The International Renewable Energy Agency estimate that solar panel waste could total 78 million tonnes by the year 2050. That’s a staggering amount. Not exactly environmentally sustainable.
