🧠 The Science Behind the Rehab Your patellar tendon is a spring — but when it’s overloaded by steep uphill loading, plyos, or too much racing, the fibres inside become messy and disorganised. That’s called tendinosis, not inflammation it’s why you feel pain when loading hard.

Can carbs during exercise spare muscle glycogen? Yes,but barely. Our new meta-analysis (31 studies) shows CHO intake = a small reduction in muscle glycogen use (~20–25 mmol·kg⁻¹ over ~110 min). No effect of: carb dose, timing, type, exercise mode, starting glycogen.

The PTO, T100 or whatever it’s calling itself now reminds me of a shit band that never releases an album. Instead of writing original songs, they cover other people’s hits (crucifying them) and hope the association carries them. @Timheming

Whereabouts protect clean sport. 1 mistake can happen, even 2. But 3 in 12 months isn’t bad luck; it’s a pattern. If athletes could avoid testing by simply being unavailable, the whole system collapses. 3 strikes exist for a reason. A ban at that point isn’t harsh it’s necessary.

Think this makes Alex the fastest bonafide triathlete of all-time (?) But worth noting how high level his running’s been from a young age & there’s been serious dedication to marathon specific work since end of 2024 triathlon season. Hopefully makes this result all the sweeter.

Leaving Thailand today for Nepal after @tri_c_livesey won the UCI gravel (mud) race. 1 week wasn’t enough time to experience this country, we may come back. Our next adventure awaits along with some charity work. Peak Education Nepal.
