Great to win at 70.3 Dubai this morning. Thanks for all the support on the course and any suggestions what to do with an afternoon off in Dubai? Preferably that doesn’t involve stairs.
Really disappointed with today. I thought I had a decent race in me. First ever DQ in any sporting event. Was on the wrong side of the buoy and I’ve seen it on video. But was disorientated after being hit and held under the water in the roughest swim I’ve ever done.
Tough day out there for both of us today. I gave it all I had after a very testing last month. I enjoyed being out on the race course and the body has held up fine.
It was great to be back on a race course today after spending a few months wondering if it would ever happen again. Thanks
@Glasgow2018
for a great event
That’s not how I wanted my last World Triathlon series race to pan out. I’ve struggled with an ankle injury for three months and have done everything possible to get it better and stay fit for racing. I knew I needed a lot of luck today and it wasn’t to be.
Happy to stand on a start line, race hard from the gun and get to the finish today. Felt good on the swim and the bike. Always knew coming into the race that the run was going to be a struggle. I’m going to build my running slowly over the next few months.
It’s good to be back!
Second place at the 70.3 World Champs. Think this picture shows I couldn’t have given it much more. Check our the link for some training in the lead up.
I’m grateful to have had my local canal to escape to over the years and especially these last 12 months. Spending time by water is good for the soul, and can help us all feel happier and healthier

I’m very excited to be involved in this project. A sub 7 hour Ironman distance event is a daunting task. But I am looking forward to the challenge. Maximising every detail and telling the story along the way.
So great to see the goal posts, wickets, courts, pitches, random bits of grass, paths and roads in use. Didn’t realise I had missed the happy sounds of activity until this evening!
Great to be back out on a race course. Annoying mechanical issue cost me time at the start of the bike but quite enjoyed the chase when I got going again.

was flying. Good to stamp ticket for Nice

I have decided not to race in
@WTSAbuDhabi
this week. Pulled my calf a bit and there’s no chance of me not putting everything into a race and doing further damage.
Unfortunately I’ve had to pull out of
@WorldTriLeeds
next weekend. I’ve had a few niggles and won’t be able to compete to the best of my ability. I’ll be cheering hard on the sidelines
Ready to go early tomorrow. Catch the 70.3 World champs race on Ironman Facebook Now. Here’s a video of my training in the last few weeks with

I’m very excited by the prospect of representing athletes and working with the IOC. The Olympic movement is something I’ve been passionate about for most my life and has given me so much.
Guess what goes on sale tomorrow night? The Brownlee Goggle! Jonny was modelling the prototype at his morning swim today 🏊♂️. 📷: Instagram -

Evidently a very tough decision for the IOC and other stakeholders to make but in my opinion the right one. Both, for the message it sends to people around the world battling with the virus and to give clarity to athletes attempting to prepare.
A message to Tokyo: When the timing is right we will come and celebrate the Games with you.
To our athletes, the nation and the world: Until then, stay safe and look after each other.
