I believe the point of MCP is to create a standard (ideally implemented by the API owners themselves like LSPs). And there is auth now. First-party tightly-coupled solutions invites MxN issue back.

love this. CUA models are very powerful and certainly have their use cases, but they shouldn’t be used as force-fit hacks for integrations. first party integrations/APIs should be preferred, and CUA for the long tail that will never have an API
