I dubbed the expedition through the Skeena, Quaal, Kemano and Bulkley watersheds “Full Circle,” a name suggested by my late friend and great Canadian adventurer Karsten Heuer the last time we spoke.

Yesterday, I pulled my canoe out on a Bulkley River gravel bar and carried it to my house in Smithers, 34 days after leaving from the same spot. This self-propelled 850-km solo journey was the hardest thing I’ve ever done — an intense physical, mental, and emotional experience.

Faced with airlines charging passengers junk fees for basic services like carry-on luggage, the Liberals plan to once again politely ask the CEOs to change their ways. If only someone had the power to regulate airlines on behalf of Canadians…

I have written the Speaker asking for an emergency debate on Trump's proposed 25% tariffs. These tariffs threaten Canada’s economy, national security, and border communities. We must discuss the consequences and protect Canadian livelihoods.

Amidst a record backlog of 70,000+ complaints at the CTA, the agency is spending resources creeping online forums trying to catch air passengers sharing their experiences with each other. You can’t make this stuff up. https://t.co/eiyivktRcm

Will the Conservatives and NDP support the Trudeau government's tax break plan? How will they vote on the proposal? Hear what @MikeBarrettON and @taylorbachrach have to say: #ctvpp #cdnpoli More: https://t.co/qqg47cuXWW

#BREAKING Tomorrow Justin Trudeau will cave to an NDP demand. A winter GST holiday. What he won't do is make it permanent — an NDP government will. Big win for working people. But the fight isn't over - never backdown.

BREAKING: Trudeau to agree to the NDP purposal and will announce a multibillion GST relief package removing the GST on several everyday items. We don’t know the full details but it expected to be announced tomorrow. NDP have said they will vote for the legislation. Huge win

I want to applaud the people in this video. The bear marching is hard to watch, but each one of them stepped up to serve. Most voices on X have never done that. Drill proficiency can be easily improved with practice, but good character is increasingly very hard to find. 🇨🇦
As a 14 year-old in the Argyle cadet corps I marched better, had better training and could perform drill better than this. Does drill matter? Anyone who has been in the military will tell you the answer. Yes. It serves a purpose. This is sad.

Hottest year on record. Blowing past 1.5 degrees. Extreme weather wreaking havoc. Is this really the best time to put water on the fire? 🔥

Thank you @taylorbachrach, OT Aya Anholt advocating for the expansion of the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program. @markhollandlib @R_Boissonnault @DeputyPM_Canada Will this oversight be corrected so OTs can get the loan forgiveness they deserve? https://t.co/ZUuXQw2tI6

The vast majority of VIA’s on-time-performance issues stem from freight trains. Amtrak performs better because U.S. law gives passenger trains priority. That’s why I tabled Bill C-371, the Rail Passenger Priority Act. Yet the Liberal government refuses to address this issue.
Via Rail's service standards have eroded substantially over the last decade. Just 59 per cent of trains arrived on time last year — down 23 percentage points in 10 years.

The noise around the emissions cap today amounts to one simple fact: for all its talk about reducing emissions, the oil and gas industry doesn't want to actually do it -- and *hates* it when the government holds them to their promises. #cdnpoli

Communications from March 2020 that show airline industry execs, credit card companies, and the transportation ministry, may have collaborated to pressure Canada’s airline watchdog to bend the rules. https://t.co/fUDyfA3Cy9

For some reason, I have been thinking about this moment a lot today. It's from John McCain in 2008 at a town hall. The woman begins to espouse conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's nationality. He immediately shuts it down. "No ma'am. He's a decent family man."
