Bands of all genres should be looking at underground DIY hardcore punk for inspiration. Can’t get a show? Book your own. Can’t find a venue? Throw a house party. Promoter doesn’t promote. You promote. These aren’t new ideas at all, it’s how I started and still operate.

Necrot had offers from much larger record labels and decided to stay with Tankcrimes. They told me it was because of our ideals and friendship. They told me that I would do a better job. That was very empowering. I love those guys and I love this band.

The mainstream music press did us all dirty yesterday by not adding “for the next 90 days” to every headline about live nation ending merch cuts. I shared an article with skepticism but still became part of the misinformation. Big PR move, everyone ate it up.

Merch cuts: you can’t always just skip out if you’re support on a big tour. I’ve had tour managers call and make me go back to the venue and pay after dipping out like that. You have to lie, it’s the only way.
