I took my ex’s last name ( and kept it, I still use it today), but I don’t think I’d make the same decision now.
A man once said me not wanting to take his surname proved I didn’t love him enough. So I asked him if he would drop his and take mine, since it’s about love. And the next thing he said to me was, “what would happen to my identity. That’s literally my identity” . Oh? 🌚.
