I introduced an amendment to this week’s Appropriations minibus to restore the gambling loss tax deduction to 100%. This fix has bipartisan support including Members from the House Appropriations Committee. There are now multiple avenues that we can take to get this done. We

@repdinatitus The House Rules Committee is now in session discussing the 482-page FSGG bill. 37 more amendments appeared overnight including this one. There are now 2 amendments proposed that would reverse the gambling loss deduction cap.

🎲 Since the Senate inserted a provision in the Big, BS Budget Bill to lower the gambling loss deduction to 90%, I have been leading the bipartisan, bicameral effort to correct this unfair tax policy so that gamers do not have to pay taxes on phantom income. Now I am again

@seththebot Correct. Bettor realized he could bet someone's 8+ hits with 7+, 6+, 5+ and they would all compound & increase the odds as if they were uncorrelated events. But that trick didn't work with other players. A mistake was made on that one player's (Nathan Lukes) configuration.
