So applaud this and @chrissy_ottb for her never ending diligence - now @OBSSales must step up and- restrict or create rules for the welfare of too many tbs selling to Puerto Rico.

certainly applaud the astounding nos at Fasig Tipton but tell that to the 12 horses leaving mountaineer to kill pens, ( Burton Sipp again) and the steady stream of horses in La to the same place in hell- ultimately- NOBODY in "alleged charge" is helping these tbs-.
As Commissioner of Racing, and as someone who, foolishly, was the leading buyer at Saratoga’s Fasig sale, I’m not surprised by this year’s record sale number. Here’s the simplest, most accurate reason why: GREED. Definition??? A selfish and excessive desire for more (money).

The Louisiana Racing Commission is moving towards doing away with most of the state's void-claiming rules. The proposal enters a public comment period June 20. Read more: @petedenk #HorseHealth.

THIS is working- its an instant success @prmracing , almost 100 percent- Could this be the answer to the reserve funds so needed for so many horses and those that are rescuing them? horses relinquished at the tracks that have this in lieu of the ridiculous 300 or so they.
@maggimoss @TBaftercare How about every track in America adopts the “Ring the Bell Program” that places like @OaklawnRacing, @TampaBayDownsFL, @prmracing and @SamHoustonRaceP have instituted? . Sadly, there have been tracks who have been presented with the opportunity to add this to their winners circle.

clearly- there is a need for a start up, group, that instead of talking, push for reserve funds from the industry, tracks, for the care of the unwanted tbs we are seeing way too often- this has to be a united effort, not infighting, or looking who to blame- there simply is.
I think its very important for this "industry" to understand all the problems that still exist with aftercare and horse welfare- everyone is trying including the @TBaftercare and so many in the "industry"- I think its time for a United front of everyone including the big.

all the money in this game, and this??? folks like Margaret and @TheBridgeSanct1 literally doing herculean work to save these poor horses- yet no funding by the industry - noone - denied by the TAA these are the horses that need support from this industry- #sosad.

Yes, I know its Belmont Day, and so much money at Saratoga, with the TAA, etc, but for Tyler, and way too many like him- thiis is the epitomy of tragic, for no tb should ever have to endure this- ever in the US- so much wrong in lack of cruelty prosecutions and again, failure.
So…. The good news is Tyler is still with us. He didn’t eat or drink much overnight but was up and down and fairly bright-eyed this morning. The bad news is he likely won’t overcome his condition barring a miracle. He isn’t stable enough to transport to a clinic and he is in

We couldn’t just leave him there… he was “advertised” for a day and nobody helped him, nobody. Thank you to @RACEFund once again for saving another life…. His recovery, if he recovers (he’s in really bad shape) will be lengthy and costly. Please, will you help us help Tyler?
