Honestly, this kind of situation should be considered a form of terrorism, or at least treachery. Absurd shit. What is their genuine beef with the BBC? Criticisms are fine, this shit is absolutely absurd. It's certainly not patriotism, it's derangement.
I'm glad the US President and the rest of the world are seeing the BBC for what it is. Its failure to tell the truth on everything from transgender ideology to economics to Gaza has done huge damage to politics and government in this country. This should be the end of

Right wing toilet paper The Telegraph laughs off claims of an orchestrated attempt to damage the BBC. Meanwhile, Telegraph has published in excess of 20 articles criticising the BBC, since publishing the whistle-blowing article. Others have followed suit. Nothing to see here.

If corruption and other forms of malfeasance are identified, these should not be addressed during the inquiry, they should be passed onto other authorities to investigate, gather evidence and prosecute as appropriate.

I don't think it's a useful inquiry, largely because it's entirely politically and emotionally/prejudicially motivated rather than being a genuine lessons learned exercise, necessary because lessons need to be learned. Heads on spikes should also not be a desired outcome.

You can't run an effective public inquiry by allowing victims to guide it. Victims need to be involved but they are not suitable for the purpose of driving an inquiry in the right direction. It always has to be someone, or a team of people, who are disconnected and neutral.

There has to be a good balance between conservatism and liberalism, and authoritarianism and libertarianism. In a way it is centrism but centrism which is unshifting is garbage. It must constantly adjust its position, otherwise the balance cannot be maintained.

People are not left or right but they can be authoritarian or libertarian. A libertarian shouldn't be in government because government is, by definition, a controlling construct. A government which doesn't control anything isn't really a government.

A party that is socially conservative, can only be controlling on matters which are considered acceptable and what are not. E.g. being gay, having the wrong coloured skin or religion, for the nation. If these are acceptable, that's a liberal position. Geddit?
