It’s a Festivus miracle, a new blog post! My airing of grievances this year pertain to some academics' widely-held wrong beliefs, including the disparagement of “more of a comment than a question,” GRExit, “leaving academia,” and more! https://t.co/75DwRyffsz

A very nice summary of the issues! As a researcher from non-WEIRD country, I feel it important to empower non-weird researchers. This task is hard b/c researchers are embedded in their own society, which is constrained by many non-academic factors in the first place.
New working paper, "The Slow Progress towards Diversification in Psychological Research," or why despite 50+ years of awareness-raising, our samples are still quite limited. Comments welcome.

Research on "resilience" has long suffered from a lack of attention to societal structures. Our new paper, "Integrating Systems of Power and Privilege in the Study of Resilience," has now been accepted at American Psychologist. Check it out!

Yes... I had to censor my work without which my committee wouldn't sign it... But the great thing with Internet is that you can post the original version and even add a disclaimer explaining why it differs from the published version…
