WHAT WE FOUND: .Overall young people took more risks when winning $ for the group compared to for themselves. Emerging adults 19-23 years, but not younger adolescents 12-18, who viewed themselves as low in social value took MORE risks ⚠️ when playing for the group.

Last night as the @AustGovernment Senate was approving the social media ban in Australia for under 16s I spoke to @BBCNews @BBCNewsAus .In short, an ill implemented ban has the potential to do more harm then good.

What we are looking for:.· PhD in psychology, neuroscience or related field.· A track record in mental health research, ideally . women’s #mentalhealth.· Strong methodological skills.· Enthusiasm for collaborating with lived experience & . other non-academic stakeholders.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team incl lived experience collaborators, clinical & developmental psychologists, behavioural neuroscientists &psychiatrists w @bronwynm_graham @globalpmh @Nichole_Fairbro @MichelleMoulds @Nathan_M_Holmes Richard Bryant Nic Reilly & myself.
