A big hand for the front line staff working at Farringdon station on Thursday. At around 5:30pm staff were regulating the huge crowd at the entrance productively and effectively. On the platforms staff kept everyone informed on train arrivals and placement. Kudos to all involved.

Delighted that I got to see the insanely brilliant #InsaneAsylumSeekers @bushtheatre yesterday. Really hope the play is picked up at a larger venue or goes on tour, it deserves to be seen by a wide audience.

Absolutely loved #Ruination @rbo_org Linbury Theatre this afternoon. An astonishing piece that was just mesmerising from start to finish, performed by a tremendous cast. Bravo!

Has a great time @phoenixartsclub last night watching @jayrayner1 do a work in progress show in advance of his "Nights Out at Home" tour next month. Mr Rayner was very entertaining - knowledgeable, funny and honest. The venue was cosy with friendly staff. Highly recommend both.

Crazy queue for tickets for @bbcproms @RoyalAlbertHall this morning - the Florence & Machine effect. Highest ever starting position - 21500 (never been above 4500 before!) - but 2.5 hours later I had tickets for all the Proms in my planner. Good luck to those still waiting 🤞

Had a fabulous lunch at #OriginCity today. Delicious food including one of the finest creme brulees I've had. Great, fairly priced wines and the beef fat fudge petit fours were a revelation. Friendly and helpful staff, this place is already on my "must return soon" list!

Loved watching #SaoPauloDanceCompany @Sadlers_Wells last night. Three fabulous pieces of choreography performed so well by the talented group of dancers - earning a well deserved standing ovation at the end.

Saw a great acoustic set by @zemiserablerich at #RoughTradeWest yesterday afternoon. Nice to see vinyl thriving at places like @RoughTrade - made for a very cosy gig venue.

Delighted to have seen #FeelingAfraid @bushtheatre today. Funny and sad with a tremendous performance from Samuel Barnett. Well done to all involved in this production.

The next train is going to... ?! Northern line tube indicator at Embankment station this afternoon - too many late night perhaps.

Had a fabulous meal at #sussex_resto last week. Great food, friendly but not intrusive service and an interesting wine list. One to return to.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the Jay Rayner Sextet @Bushhallmusic last night. @jayrayner1 and his talented group of musicians, fronted by fabulous singing from Pat Gordon-Smith, performed a mixed set of jazz classics and 80s jazz to a very appreciative audience, a joyous evening.

Had a fabulous time @LeBeaujolaisltd at the weekend. Great wines, food, service and staff made for a perfect evening. Long may this institution reign!

Completely blown away by @auroraorchestra @bbcproms this afternoon. Explanation / dramatisation of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, performance from memory, then fabulous encores with orchestra amongst the audience in arena & stalls. Such a shame it wasn't filmed for BBC broadcast.

Blown away by #DearEngland @NationalTheatre yesterday. Great performances by the cast, a great set by Es Devlin and a magnificent script by the master, James Graham - all brought together beautifully by Rupert Gould. I laughed and I cried and I loved every minute!

Saw #Disruption @ParkTheatre at the weekend. The engaging cast performed a timely story and we were hooked from the start. Clever use of the space, it was an all round excellent show - congrats to all involved.

Blown away by the #NorthernSoul prom @bbcproms @RoyalAlbertHall last night. Fabulous music and singers, the joint was rocking! The conductor looked like he was having the time of his life - it was a joy to be there! Congrats to all involved in making it happen.

Saw #AugustInEngland @bushtheatre a couple of days ago. What a fabulous performance by Lenny Henry. A super playwriting debut, great choreography and staging and an actor in his element.

My heart sank when I joined the @bbcproms waiting room at 9am today - position 7123! Just over an hour later I was in and secured all the tickets in my planner - summer sorted. Well done @bbcproms and @RoyalAlbertHall for running such an efficient booking service.

Saw the superb #Medea @sohoplacelondon last week. A fabulous production, loved the innovative staging and great performances all round. Loved it!
