The Young Films Foundation ran a fabulous joint event on Friday the 26th with the NFTS Sean Connery Talent Lab in Edinburgh. The participants on both programmes were treated to a screening of "The Olive Tree' (2016) followed by a Q&A with the writer Paul Laverty.

I've always wanted to put Jim McDonald from Coronation Street punching people to Motörhead. Today I did. Enjoy your evening x

Pls share: For those of us who care about Glasgow, Gray & deep connections between the work & the city, #PoorThingsFilm is a great chance to point people back to AG's work. Here I'm with @GraySorcha of @AGrayArchive & Rachel Loughran, creator of the great Poor Things novel guide.
🎬 New film #PoorThings, with Emma Stone & Willem Dafoe, is making waves critically and commercially. But what impact will the adaptation have on the legacy of Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel? We spoke to Gray expert Dr Rodge Glass: https://t.co/hWmpvC6VRI (Photo by @alasdairw)

Every time I write ‘complete’ I accidentally writer ‘comlete’ and then I have to eat an omelette. It’s really slowing me down.

In 4th year my school took us to Stratford-upon-Avon on the annual Shakespeare trip. The teachers forgot to organise any kind of Bard based activities so took us to see Mel Gibson in ‘What Women Want’. Now I can’t think of one without the other.

If you ever get married make sure you have vases. Bins, buckets and espresso cups don’t make for a good aesthetic.

A sports car owner just soaked me with a puddle. I’m so sorry for the bad language, but on this occasion I felt it necessary to call this cunt a sports car owner.
